CineTrotter

The filming locations of your films, on a map of the world

A street, a station, a castle, a beach: CineTrotter tracks down the real places where films were shot. More than 7,000 locations from more than 580 films are already on the map, enough to plan a trip or to find out what was filmed near you.

Where the cameras stopped

Each patch of colour gathers the filming locations recorded in one area. They crowd together where a lot has been filmed, and new ones appear with every film added.

What you will find on the site

The map

Zoom in on a town or search for a film, then click a point: the films shot at that spot appear. The page address keeps the view and the open location, so you can share exactly what you are looking at.

A page for every film

Its filming locations, the towns where the crew set up, a small map placing them and, for each location, the scene played there whenever it is known.

A page for every location

What the place really is, what it becomes on screen, and every film that has set up its cameras there.

The app, to go further

A film is missing? Search for it in the app: CineTrotter then sets off on the trail of its filming locations, and the ones we track down join the map, for everyone.

Once you are there, it opens the place in your navigation app and tells you about the scene, with its anecdote when one is documented. It is available on iOS and Android.
