Private house located just south of Fairhope, on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. It is a private property: it is not open to visitors and can only be seen from the outside.

The scene : Isolated at the end of its driveway, the home of Rose's parents hosts the weekend of the meeting with the in-laws: Chris stumbles upon a shoebox filled with photos of Rose with her former boyfriends, then, suitcase packed, futilely demands the car keys while the Armitages close in around him.

  2. Barton Academy (Mobile)

    Mobile, United States

Founded in 1836, Barton Academy is the first public school in Alabama; it is named after Willoughby Barton, a state legislator who drafted the law creating Mobile's public school system. Its neoclassical style building, designed by architect James Gallier and dated 1852, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It reopened to students in 2021 under the name Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies.

The scene : The Armitage basement is actually filmed here: Chris wakes up strapped in a chair, facing a video that reveals his fate, while Dean and Jeremy prepare Jim Hudson's operation — until Chris, his ears plugged with the chair's stuffing to escape the hypnosis, knocks out Jeremy.

  3. Mobile, United States

Small residential intersection in the Park Place neighborhood, west of downtown Mobile, just steps away from Old Shell Road, on tree-lined streets.

The scene : Opening sequence: lost at night in a tree-lined residential neighborhood, Andre drives up De Leon Avenue and then turns onto Ryan Avenue, followed closely by a small sports car; a man wearing a knight's helmet suddenly appears, knocks him out, and throws him in the trunk.

  4. Ashland Place Historic District (Mobile)

    Mobile, United States

The scene : The streets of this historic neighborhood were used to recreate the clean yet unsettling atmosphere of Rose's hometown, which is supposed to be located in the northern part of New York State.

  5. 127 Dauphin Street (Mobile)

    Mobile, United States

The scene : At Chris's: he is packing his suitcase for the weekend when Rose arrives with pastries; later, his friend Rod stops by to feed the dog and takes the opportunity to dig into Chris's suspicions.

  6. World Cruise Center

    Los Angeles, United States

The scene : The terminal serves as an airport: standing on the sidewalk in front of the entrance, cigarette in hand, Rod talks to Chris about his trip.
