The scene : Riga serves as Moscow in the 1990s: several streets in the city center have been adorned with Cyrillic signs, period Russian posters, and old military vehicles for the large crowd scenes filmed with Latvian extras. The city also houses the television studios and offices where Baranov develops his strategies, and it is in a 1900 building that Vladimir Putin's office has been recreated.

The scene : Near Cēsis, the wooden manor of Ungurmuiža is one of the Latvian locations in the film: it can already be seen in the trailer.
Krasta iela & Slāvu iela (Riga)
Riga, Latvia
The scene : The elevated interchange of Krasta iela and Slāvu iela, in the southeast of Riga, becomes a Moscow highway: "Москва центр / Moscow Central" signs, a Russian flag, and a procession of black SUVs speeding along the ramp, beneath the giant sign of the Akropole shopping center rewritten in Cyrillic.
Antibes, France
The scene : The only escape from Latvia, the team spent three days on the French Riviera for the sequences of Cap d'Antibes; this villa on the western slope of the cape, built in 1865, claims to have hosted the filming.
