Stage 4 is reputed to be the most haunted soundstage at the Warner Bros lot in Burbank.

The scene : On this set, the crew recreates the Hodgson house and the neighborhood of Green Street in Enfield in 1977: stained walls, rooms enlarged to accommodate the cameras, a dark garden, and stone walls. They specifically film the scene where the poltergeist locks Janet behind a door, and the one where a chest of drawers crosses the room, pulled by an invisible thread.

Warner Bros. Studios

Burbank, United States

Historic Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, one of the largest film production complexes in Hollywood. They were founded in 1926.

The scene : On the Burbank lot, the team reconstructs the Amityville house through which the story begins; it is also on a Warner stage that the scene is filmed where Lorraine, drenched in the rain, stands in front of the door behind which Ed is trapped.

The scene : In a warehouse in Valencia, the team built the flooded basement of the Hodgson house in three weeks, a 360° set positioned above a pit: Ed searches for the source of a leak with Peggy before the ghost of old Bill appears.
